Hold that thought…

This has been one of the busiest weeks in a loooong time. I am taking a bunch of days off next week, so I’ll be able to continue posting as of tomorrow. Until then, I hope you are all doing well.

Don’t Let the Door Hit You….

Sometimes I skim through the real estate in the area just to see what’s available and if prices are similar to what we paid when we bought and sold our apartments here. I was surprised to see that our neighbours above us have put their place up for sale. They moved in during this past summer and paid more than what we paid for ours, so we thought they were in it for the long haul. They didn’t seem to be doing much renovation, so it definitely wasn’t an attempt at a flip. But, that must be what they were doing, unless something came up since then. The realtor pictures show that they have done some work but haven’t touched the bathrooms or the kitchen. Those are usually the places that people improve first if they are flipping a place, right?
I doubt they will make much money on their sale since this seems to be the worst time in Sweden to sell. This kinda makes me happy as they have been nothing but loud and obnoxious since they arrived. We call the mother “mama stomper” since that’s all she does. Going from one end of the apartment to the other, stomping her feet as loud as she can. What the henkel is she doing anyway, constantly walking back and forth? They also have two teenage kids that seem to be left alone alot on the weekends since that’s when the parties happen. They aren’t the kind of parties that last all night, but when they’re on, they’re on!
So, I for one, will not be missing them when they leave. We will be going up to the open house to see what the price is at the time. That’s how we found out the bidding rate last time.
If you’re interested to see what the apartment looks like (it’s the same layout as ours),
check it out!

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to my new blog. This is the first time that I’ve ever (or should I say we’ve ever) owned our own domain. Very exciting! I would like to say that I’ve been slaving away trying to design and organize the site, but I would be lying. I tried to create it myself, but quickly gave up. My good friend Irma came to my rescue by coming up with this fabulous design and even set it all up for me. Can you believe it!? She’s a genius as many of you already know. I’m sure she’s sick of me already with all my idiotic questions and obvious lack of experience, but she’s not showing it at all. What a pro! I have added all the links by myself. I know, I’m talented.

Now that you know that I am here, I hope that you return often and read all about my final adventures of pregnancy (10 weeks to go!), my first experiences as a mother, my life in Sweden and, of course, my never-ending urge to craft.
